Briancon

Briancon is at an elevation of 1,326 metres making it the highest town in Europe. Briançon is not actually a city and the very distinctive 'twin towered' collegiale is not a cathedral. Briançon is built at the confluence of the Durance and the Guisane rivers. Briancon was the Roman Brigantium and was at oen time part of the kingdom of King Cottius.
